Who we are

Anishnawbe Giikenimowgaywin is an Indigenous organization that strives to cultivate interconnectedness, encourage holistic healing, and provide support: for every step of the journey, for every walk of life.

Our vision is to see inspired individuals and communities, living in wholeness and wellness through the power of ceremony, culture, and connection.

We incorporate Anishnawbe cultural teachings, stories, and songs into workshops and programming in order to raise cultural awareness and understanding, as well as to promote healing, inclusion, and relationships between cultures.

"When we go through physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual trauma, we become victims. Eventually, if we survive, we become survivors. Once we learn the meaning behind our stories and learn to talk about them openly, we can begin to let go of that pain and hurt, for no one but ourselves.

Then, we become warriors."
